Who pays for conservation

When we buy our federal duck stamps we are providing essential federal funds allocated to conservation projects like national waterfowl production areas to wildlife refuges.


 

The membership dues we pay to our favorite organization like Trout Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, to Pheasants Unlimited goes towards wildlife habitat and conservation.

  In 1936 the Pittman-Robertson Act was passed for sportsman. 11% tax is collected on all firearm, archery equipment, ammunition sales contribute over $86 million yearly for wildlife conservation. All of this is provided by all the purchases of pertaining to the pursuit of their lifelong passion.


  So the next time someone disagrees with hunting kindly educate them in a respectful way because each of us are ambassadors to our sport so we need to make a positive impression.
